WPF MVP

I received an email while on my way home from CodeCamp informing me that I’ve received an MVP award for my contributions to the WPF community. Officially I’m a “Visual Developer - Client Application Development”. Sweet! Thanks to the person who nominated me and the kind folks at Microsoft who said nice things about me. It is a great honour, and excellent motivation to crank up my output on learnwpf.com.

On the Australian front I see I’m not the only one to receive an MVP award. Paul Stovell and Grant Holliday both received awards. Grant for VSTS, and Paul for WPF. I seem to recall Paul saying that it was after seeing talks on WPF at CodeCamp 2006 that he decided to go the “WPF way” on his personal project Trial Balance. Twelve months later and after many many hours of deep dives using reflector (plus a few user-group presentations and a slew of blog posts later) Paul is a WPF MVP. Congratulations guys.

On the WPF front I see that Josh Smith has also received an MVP award for his contributions in the WPF space. Congratulations Josh, and well deserved.
