Level 999 - Stuff that annoys me plenty

My wife maintains I’m a cranky old bastard at heart. Lots of “normal“ things annoy me - people who talk on phones while driving, waiting in queues, java developers…but then there are a few special ones that I’m pretty sure are not “usual“ annoyances. These things really annoy me:

  1. People who “categorize” their weblog posts like tech-ed sessions. What constitutes “level 200“ for you might be “level 400“ for somebody else and vice versa. Lets leave the largely meaningless numerical categorizations for Tech-Ed.
  2. Chewing gum. Gum should cost $50 a packet to pay for the cleaning of the mess it causes to the streets and foot-paths. It’s a filthy habit.
  3. People who mis-pronounce coffee names - “expresso“ and “cuppachino“….Grrrr……

I’ll be sure to add to this list as more things occur to me.

For sure dude, I agree.

2) That’s why I’m a smoker. It’s a much cleaner habit than chewing gum grin

One of my biggest peeves is deciphering language from people who don’t actually know much about computers. The worst offender is the amount of times I hear different people telling me they have a problem with their hard drives - after a bit of digging what they call a hard drive, I call a case.

Dude, I’m not even into coffee and those mispronunciations piss me off. I can’t imagine how it must make you feel!
