I noticed this story over on @PBones’s blog (Paul works for Mac indie development firm Rogue Amoeba) describing an embarrassing conversion error in powerpoint between centimeters and inches (in the real world 2.54 cm = 1”, in powerpoint apparently it’s 2.4…).
Intrigued I clicked through to the KB article that Paul references on his blog, and was shocked to see that the product the KB article applies to is Powerpoint 97. If this bug were a person they would be in ‘middle school’ now. No-where in Paul’s post does he mention just how old this bug is. Now if you’ll excuse me I’m off to write up some cool anecdotes about how goofy OS7 was.

In MacOS the workaround would be to hold option while pressing the print button.
